Opie lies, just yesterday about the woman who doesn't own a phone, and when Ant gave him a follow up question he kept side stepping it, and said she was a hipster, and then Jimmy saved him by saying ' she might have thought you wanted her number'

I do think Opie makes up plenty of stories(even simple ones like your example) for da show. However, they're plenty of people without cell phones. My brother for one. He had a needy girlfriend once, so he threw out his phone. Ended up replacing the GF but not the phone.

And? Opie has been lying for years. This subreddit and other boards have ball licked him for years despite it. It's not going to change anything now.
