Fake louie was better. Louis CK is one of my all time favorite people on the show, and I'm not a hater, but in the past couple years the very few times he has been on have been significantly less entertaining than the old days.
I think part of it is because he comes in so infrequently now that when he does they just spent the entire time catching up and talking about his show. I'm sure if he came in more often he would be back to riffing on old topics and insulting callers just as before, but there just isn't the time for it nowadays, so when he does come in, it just feels like every other celebrity interview.
It pisses me off that he does Stern just as often as O&A now too. Louis CK was on Stern ONCE in 2006, Stern NEVER had him back until 2013, and even forgot about his first appearance. It's insulting that he has been going on Stern. According to Stern, they reconnected when they met at a party in the Hamptons, and Louis then came on the show a few months later.
I'd buy the bit about Louis going on Stern before O&A first because he doesn't want to be ushered out, but he spent 55 minutes on Stern today and 60 on O&A. Yeah. I'm not buying that excuse.
No doubt. I listened to the interview as well. He sounded bored as hell to be there, and it's obvious Stern has no idea of what Louie's comedy is truly about.
Not at all. I'm an ex/sometimes current Stern listener and always wanted Louis to show up. However, I just don't like the fact he now does O&A and Stern at a 1:1 ratio
