Did all you guys just forget how much he killed on old shows and how half of O&A's fans started listening because of Louie?

I am one of those people. I dont really like him on O and A anymore, maybe because the boys lick his balls fiercely and dont shoot the shit like mates now but still. Everything he does is golden

I agree. I don't get why they have to kiss his ass when he comes in. Why can't they just treat him like their old pal and just do funny radio.
1 Ignatius_Oh_Reilly 2014-05-05
Yeah he isn't treated like a peer anymore on the show.
Add in Louie is good but not as good as the hype (no one could be in his defense).

I've always been neutral about him, and I'm sure a lot of other people have been as well. Do you expect people to go around proclaiming their indifference to something? While I'm at it, I think Patrice used to be annoying at times and would ruin bits by talking over everyone or laughing too much, and Bob Kelly is mostly only funny as the butt of other people's jokes. Happy?

"I could only dream of being at Louis CK level [of being famous]", said by Opie, to Louis CK.

OAnJ on today's show, and the last 2-3 CK appearances
we're not worthy
we're not worthy

I don't think his last appearances are as good as the old ones. It's mostly because it feels like they're interviewing him rather than him coming in to hang out. I don't fault O&A or Louie for that, but them not kissing his feet throughout the entire appearence would help.

"We loved the SNL monologue, we LOVED the monologue. We played WHOLE thing on our show too." I really dont love or hate louie. He is funny, im just not sure hes a comedic genius like people portray him to be. The constant fawning over him by OAnJ gets old too. And he has done some great radio, but like other peoe have pointed out its more of an interview now than a hang.

They ask him literally the same questions every time. Same deal with Bourdain.

Appril fals?

I love Louis CK but since he's mega famous everyone just acts awkward around him but I'm not sure how else they could react to him

I agree, and it's sad that today he mentioned he hates that preferential treatment he gets. Maybe a subtle hint to the boys that they don't have to treat him like a deity just because he's huge now.
2 Gastrotech 2014-05-05
Down vote me to hell, but Louis has kind of been a dick the last two times he's been in. It's usually subtle, but he just seems.... annoyed when he's there and rather short with the guys (what is he a midget or sumptin?). He rarely laughs and just seems to perhaps think he's much bigger than O&A now. I don't know. He's a dick though.
8 CUNTYMOM 2014-05-05
listen to the old shows, he's always been a dick, and has always seemed semi annoyed, sure he was funny at time but he was usually a dick
-10 [deleted] 2014-05-05
shut up boo hoo hes a dick go have sex with a cow or Roland same thing
2 opieanthonyjim 2014-05-05
It's because it's less of a hang with him now and more of an interview. But that's not really the boys' fault, he used to be on all the time, so there wasn't as much catching up to do. It's not like he's a boring road comic and they're interviewing him, SNL stories are interesting, behind the scenes of his show is interesting, so those are things they are curious about and want to catch up with him about.

Ah. You must be a caller.
1 HeyBuddays 2014-05-05
He's like one of those rappers who blows up. The thing that made him great was the struggle and the fact he had to push himself harder than anybody else in the hopes of getting noticed. Louie's kind of resting on his laurels at the moment (and there's also the douchey things money has enabled him to do like hiring a professional boxing trainer to get ready for a comedy special and buying a yacht)
0 mynu 2014-05-05
wait...he hired a boxing trainer to get ready for a comedy special? that's super douchey.
-1 Danielson799 2014-05-05
Yeah he wanted to get in a little better shape.
1 Ignatius_Oh_Reilly 2014-05-05
In his defense boxing is a great work out, and the trainers aren't as annoyingly upbeat as regular personal trainers. Maybe he couldn't fit going to a boxing gym in his schedule, plus dude has the money to do it.
-1 mynu 2014-05-05
Ok that's not as bad as I thought. I thought it was like preparing for 'battle' or something stupid.
2 HeyBuddays 2014-05-05
Yeah, he said something just like that and Jay Mohr relentlessly made fun of him for it afterwards.

Don't be one of these guys. Louis is one of the best comics in the world and has been for over a decade now. What? He's popular now so it's not cool for you to like him? UGH
0 maynardsabeast 2014-05-05
I personally have always preferred Burr, Patrice,FLorentine, and Norton (on the show and stand up) but he's right up there with them. He' awesome.
0 sukotsuto 2014-05-05
No he's not. Don't let stupid hipster/libertarian fans change how you think of Louie. I just wish he's still in the same level as the boys, so that they can talk to each other as equals instead of wasting time on praising/ball-licking Louis CK.
-1 fireantss 2014-05-05
Louis' appearances are not as good as they used to be, but it's not that he's changed; its that o&a interview him now rather than just talk.
That's not to say I don't enjoy his appearances.
