Anthony Bourdain is coming in this week

Looking forward to his appearance. The past couple times he has been on he was hilarious and he felt pretty much at home with the vibe of the show.

God I hope he puts Roland in his place. Bourdain is essentially everything Roland tries to be, and people like Roland represent everything that Bourdain hates.

Hear Hear! Roland is a fat fuck!

Nice, I enjoy his show. He is an interesting food guy, unlike Roland.

The difference between him and Roland is that Bourdain is an actual chef who worked his way up after slumming it the kitchens. He's not a trust-fund kid with daddy's connections like Roland.

Plus he got to hang with Omar and Marlo from the wire https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEVuELyZ0lU

What's great about bourdain is for someone who's experienced everything good wise,he'll still appreciate a street hot dog or other "pedestrian" food

He's been quoted as saying that one of his favorite snacks is cheap canned corn beef hash. I hope Roland chokes on a doughnut.

Bourdain is one of those guests that I could never get in to. I don't hate the guy at all, but he just doesn't click for me. I guess it may be due to not watching his show. I agree though, I'd love for anyone to shit on Roland.

His book 'Kitchen Confidential', which launched his career is a fantastic read. If you're even slightly interested in how the restaurant industry works it's a must.

I enjoy his show, especially the CNN one. He has a Josh Homme song as intro music, and he goes to really fucked up places and hangs with the both interesting restaurants, but also the locals and eats with them. He also isn't above getting high on the show and referencing it, which is pretty ballsy for a CNN type show where they usually seem way more uptight. After talking on O+A about how he used to be a crack addict, I'm all in.

He did a ton of heroin, methadone and acid too

He has a Josh Homme song as intro music

Mark Lanegan is on that, too. Too bad it's not a longer song.

I think you can get the full song online, I could have sworn I saw it on youtube.

Bourdain has great stories and isn't afraid to call other chefs and celebrities out for being pathetic. He rules.

I love bourdain. All of his shows have been awesome, and no matter how famous he becomes he's still down to earth and loyal to the show. Super entertaining without trying hard to be funny like comedians.

I haven't heard the show in a few mos. so I don't understand all the Roland hate.

Bourdain is always a great guest. Guess I'll have to re-up my 769th "free trial" of SXM to hear it.

Long story short Roland is a pretentious food snob with an elevated palate who calls everything that isn't up to his standards "pedestrian" despite the fact he hasn't cooked a single piece of food in his life.

Pedestrian. Hmmm. Pretty funny coming from a fat dude who looks like he only walks to and from the elevator.

Do you know what day?

He seems pretty fine here. Bourdain just comes across as a bit awkwardly social everywhere though

I would love it, but don't think Bourdain is going to attack Roland. Roland is the show's booker and probably Bourdain's only connection to the show (phone number, etc). Besides, as we all know, O&A protect Roland and wouldn't let a real food expert rip into baby fatso.

I hate this pretentious tryhard and his low-depth-of-field-camera shows.

this. he's an annoying ex addict "i know everything" kind of guy, his show is alright but he acts like he's important now that he's on CNN.

Bourdain is not the worst guest in the world but I just hope he stays away from political talk because the guy knows nothing but bullshit.

It's no secret he's a liberal (he works for fucking CNN), but the dude has been to nearly every country on the planet and interacted with the locals. I'm willing to take what he says about the world over what Anthony sees on the internet as well as any other person who hasn't actually been to the locations in question.

If he'd been to Libya, he'd know Obama's FreedomPalooza turned it into a warzone hell hole and wouldn't say such stupid shit. I'm not hating on the guy, I just think the chef should stick to talking about food.

This guy went to Libya and saw it firsthand a year after Ghadafi was overthrown. Plus he talks about the food since he's a chef. Check out the show before talking shit about it. Parts Unknown: Libya

I've seen it, I just don't care for a chef's political opinion when he is clearly wrong.. especially now Libya has devolved into utter violence. Go preach about sucking his dick to someone that gives a fuck.

All the downvotes this site has in it won't make me give a fuck about Bourdain, the dude is a typical pompous chef.

You seem to be the only one giving a shit about his political opinion.

I made a single comment, people jumped on it and I replied because I'm not an ignorant ass. I'm over it.

If you're so vocal about not caring about a chef's political opinion, why do you think that anyone gives a shit about your political opinion, or your opinion about the chef?

edit: and dude, you got like 3 downvotes. No one really gives a shit enough for you to be a pompous "downvote me all you want" dick about it.

I was talking about my first comment that got 9 downvotes and my 2nd that got 8.

Oh, 17 downvotes, yeah now I understand. Wow. Talk about someone willing to make hard sacrifices to stick to his guns. Jeez.

Hang yourself. You're being bullied. Pussy.

Lol.

Fag

Good educated reply, fuckface.

Internet faggot

Nah I understand the place where you are coming from.

I liked his take in this video though, granted this was from earlier that year:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQH6y1WFuOE

And btw, he has been to Libya. He did I think two episodes there (one with travel and one with CNN)

I don't doubt he's been to Libya, I'm just amazed he can say we helped. That said, that video is a better take than the previous one.

Ew Opie is trying to be serious.
