That had nothing to do with defending the show and everything to do with the way he said they basically owe him something. I would have said the same if he wrote that way about Poptarts.

Except he didn't. He gave his opinion and even used the term "I feel like" which indicates that it is his opinion and not objective fact. Which brings me back to the original point. It's one thing to just be a cunt face and unnessacarily shit on the show, but completely valid criticism and opinions are met with the same tired "then listen to something else" (which is completely ridiculous in and of itself that people would even think that you have to like everything about the show or fuck off) and just personal insults in the jist of not having anything nice to say dont say anything at all. It's childish and reactionary to the constant negativity on O&A discussion forums, but how about actually taking each individual comment and post in to consideration instead of just making it a black and white you either love everything about them or fuck off scenario.

I won't complain about the few commercials during the 20th anniversary replays (forget the name). 4-5 semi-lengthy clips in a row without breaks is pretty nice. Fucking stern has a break after every sternthology clip.

I do wish they would change up the break bits every now and then. Maybe retire some of them.

The only thing I will agree with you on is the length of the bits they play. Hours of Gallagher, a certain comic or bit etc can be annoying for folks that don't find that person very entertaining. Mix it up!

They're probably spreading the staff thin by asking them to edit and produce a podcast every week.....along with daily show work and worst-of productions.

Yeah, as much as they bitch about leaving SiriusXM, they both like that fat paycheck coming.. Not to say that having a podcast wouldn't be potentially lucrative, but it wouldn't be at the start.

It wouldn't nearly be as lucrative than their SXM contracts. With their contracts, their pay is more-or-less guaranteed (with some exceptions of course). With podcasting, they'd truly be at the mercy of listeners.

I wouldn't even look at it as guts. Bottom line is podcasting is a step backwards. They are radio guys. They work in the live radio paradigm. Sirius XM is the best place for them. Podcasting is a step backwards and regular radio is dead. I think what they need to do is stop relying on Sirius Xm. Get out more. Opie just walked a red carpet, they need to do stuff like that. Even if Sirius put all of their efforts into promotion, they still need to put in their own effort and get out there. Try and get on some late night shows (besides red eye) and try and get yourselves out there.

They're more popular at Sirius than any podcast is. I don't care what Carolla or Rogan do, they're a step down the ladder from O&A. It's a very specialized way to do a show. O&A find new listeners who get the service and heard about them and start listening. For podcasts you have to search it out and find it on itunes.

Have you noticed every time they talk to someone in a different country and Opie asks how they heard of them they always say the same thing "I was listening to bill burr ( or Louis ck, jimm Jeffries,Patrice) clips on YouTube and saw one of him on the show.

You don't have to listen. I've taken a few days off since I'm just too lazy to download the show anymore off anonymous fan site and listen on the commute. Eventually I should start listening again.

I'm still a fan of the show, but I take breaks now and then, and I only listen to the first 30 or 40 minutes until my commute ends. I listen to another show on the way home.

The Worst Ofs are rarely worth my time, and back then, when I heard them, I'd just turn the radio off and put on something else. It's really not a big deal.
