Apparently in the nerd world, Blizzard (world of Warcraft) holds a convention every year. Jay Mohr hosted the first couple. The audience booed him like a bunch of spoiled twats. He shouldered on and stuck to his guns. I came across it on youtube one day. Watching him hold his ground while being heckled by the whole audience gave me a whole new respect for him. Plus I loved the movie Suicide Kings.
Jay is a double edged sword. He'd really quick and witty and is pretty funny but at the same time he's obnoxious and can be overbearing sometimes. I was never quite sure if Jimmy finds him annoying or not
He just talks too much and never let's off the gas at all. It gets to be too much after a while. If he could just talk normal sometimes it would be a lot better than the constant stream of characters and volume changes and just nonstop banter. I get that dead-air is bad for radio but holy shit does he not ever shut up. He can be funny but he is exhausting.
Mohr is a great guest. His impressions are amazing and willingness to engage with Chip, while doing an impression, is fucking hilarious. Eddie Vedder bantering about Chip's mom, on a previous show, was gold.
I would love it if Mohr was on the show once a week or so, for the entire show. Listening to him mimic Colin is gold too.
well then who else would you rather have on the show? jay is a classic staple of the show, and has been there for half slices, one of the greatest shows ever.

I don't like a lot of Jay's serious conversations - especially since he found jeez-os - but I still find him really funny on the show.
Today when Opie asked him about Jesus and he replied "Well, I'm no Penn Jilette" it annoyed me.
