I was listening to the most recent podcast about kids going through their parents stuff, and I couldn't believe how competent the callers were. They almost sounded fake. I don't know if truckers or cellphones are to blame for how shitty the callers are now.

It's the truckers fault. When they were on NEW, the same callers basically called everyday like Uncle John and a bunch of those guys. They were always quick and funny, but now its just bored truckers with their lousy stories.

NEW was weird city people who listened to the radio everyday or people driving home from work, aka normal funny people.

truckers are the worst, they have the humor of a 5th grader.

People panic nowadays too, because they know the boys are going to tear them to shreds no matter what they say.

After listening to that podcast, I would say the callers are 100 times better now then they used to be. The difference in the hosts, they used to have so much patients, now the second they go to the phones there's blood in the water already.

I was thinking about this the other day (I don't know why) after listening to some older shows, because the callers were a lot better. I reckon it might have something to do with them being on regular radio, more people listening who aren't cringeworthy Wackbag reject super fans who get nervous talking to their heroes = better calls.

I don't really call often, but I've never really brought interesting stuff to the table. Due to the net player's delay, any time that I've had something resourceful, I wind up calling just before the Boys go to break. That's why I stick to Twitter. Lets me say what I want without ruining a show w/ my awful voice.

Anyone with any fucking sense or basic awareness doesn't call the show, because they know that the callers are all idiot time-wasting shitstains. This is the audience silent majority.

So that means we are only left with a self-selecting sub-population of dummies. If anyone is too fucking stupid not to understand that the callers all stink, then they are by definition too fucking stupid to be listened to on the phones.

It's a self-perpetuating loop of idiot demographics. The only way to break it, is to tell that dumb idiot cunt Hughes to leave the fucking phones alone.

Apparently Opie is grand Kaiser Tsar of the O&A show and also head manager, call screener, guest picker, and schedule maker. About the only thing he hasn't been blamed for is food quality, and that's cause jimmy hasn't gotten bad food yet like he did with some of the worse/best interns.
