Exactly. I did this the other day because I wanted to see how many fake followers the Todd show had, it was really high. Then I got two other ones I could do for free (after that I'd have to register and pay I guess) and I did jason ellis not very high on fake followers, figured he was and opie was something like 90% real followers.
They're usually advertising bots or phishing bots that follow celebrities, I think. Their operators probably believe this will increase the odds of someone clicking on one of their malicious links.
I have a twitter account, but I only use it to follow people. I don't tweet anything so I imagine I'm part of that 11% inactive group. My account also did get hijacked once and tweeted out some spam, so I might be in the suspicious category. Basically, these percentages are probably questionable.
Opie checking his numbas. You know you are babysitting your kids and you look down to see if you gained a couple followers in the last hour. Then you gotta check to see if your trick shot vid is viral yet. Then you get so sick of me me me people.
wow. This might be an all time "Who gives a shit?" post. It's twitter. It's meaningless.
You actually found a site that compares real to fake followers? Dude, really? I've always thought there was a bottom to the internet, but now I know who hit it first.
I don't think its a stretch to say that the day you give a shit about real vs fake twitter followers is the day you should be featured in a documentary about the Golden Gate Bridge.
Reconsider your life choices - next time you have a point to make, write it in a journal. No one gives a shit about about your twitter stats.
I would like to call the show about this, but I'm driving in then and barely awake. Here is how twitter "Biz Dev" works: Any URL has PPC (pay per click) meaning "At which rate does this work?" Bottom line: the current SXM marketing team seems to be frozen or they're (Alex Jones voice) going to play ball as this failing business model runs it's course.

He's trying to white knight Opie because the other thread says that he has all fake followers so this is damage control.

I don't get it, are these celebrities paying for them, like how people did for Bobo, or is there another angle here?

It says right in the picture that the more followers someone has the more inaccurate it will be.
You are comparing an account with less than 300k followers to ones with over 30 million.
