This is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Opie said in a totally serious fashion:

It clearly made Ant uncomfortable for a moment, then he realized he'd said it before. That was 5 years ago and they've done some of their best radio in that time. The show continued and everyone moved on. It's just one of Opie's phases, he'll get over it.

I knew that you were someone from this subreddit. Your call was abysmal because you walked right into an ambush. To be a good caller on O&A you need good energy, a good voice, and a short, concise point that's hard to refute without getting wordy. You had potential with your question, but you were just completely unprepared for what awaited you.

Like I only got to say one thing before Opie said it was a stupid question and kept interrupting. I didn't feel like arguing so I hung up and went to class lol

You definitely had the right idea by hitting the eject button, because there was no way that call was going to develop into a petty screaming match. You had Opie on the defensive, and neither Jim nor Ant cared enough about your question to jump in and offer a contrary perspective.

In all honesty, I don't think there's a way to formulate the question to get them to answer honestly. I think it's just one of those things that they keep too close to their chest for business purposes.

You need to be funny to be a good caller. Most callers are just plain boring. Tell a joke, don't start with the same "bo bo boys"

It's alright. I called in during the pre-show and nearly caused a wreck because of how goddamn boring I sound. It's a curse, really. I just hope I don't wind up relegated to the realm of a character caller.
