I'm assuming this has been done before, but I'd like to take a moment to bitch and vent about Jimmy's part in the show intro.

That intro annoys the fuck out of me. Every time they try to "fix" the part that introduces Jimmy they just make it worst.
First he was just merely one of the many "friends along the way", which frankly I think is a little insulting to him. Then if that wasn't bad enough they use a couple of the worst lines they could find of him saying he wants to put his cock in some donuts. Really? Of all of his brilliant jokes and thoughts of which there are plenty they used THAT to display what he contributes to the show?
Then in order to try and fix it they shoehorned in fucking Lady Di drunkenly pronouncing his name in a way that if you didn't already know it you wouldn't know what the fuck she was saying. At least they had enough sense to get rid of that, so there's a plus.
But NOW I don't even know what the hell is going on during that part. There's a weird, awkward pause after the "friends" line and then someone saying Jim Norton with the same fast cadence that Todd said "Todd Show" at the end of that Vine video. I don't get why they did it that way with that 3 second pause; It sounds so out of place. I almost prefer the Lady Di one to the current one. Almost.
In my opinion the whole thing is just disrespectful. Especially the "friends along the way" line which I wish they would get rid of. They make it sound like he was just some hitchhiker that they picked up because he just happened to be going in the same direction, so he got to sit in the truck bed for the ride. That line would have worked 10 years ago when he was fairly new, but now his presence and influence is thoroughly cemented into the show. He's every bit as much a part of it as O&A themselves are. Some would argue even more than that.
I know this was uneccesarily long winded, but the intro has really been bugging me and it just builds up inside of me every time I hear it, so I just needed to vent. I just wish they would get Stacey Keach back in and the introduction right.

P.S. I am also Mart Kencuda on Youtube and I posted this entire thing on a video there too. So if you see that after seeing this or vice versa, know that I am both people. Weird disclaimer, I know, but people can get pretty uppity over thinking someone nicked someone else's comments/posts. Okay for real I'm done now.

It has certainly been discussed plenty of times ... at least three or four, maybe more, and each time it was, it was to correctly describe it as an indefensible fucking travesty.
Norton's been at least (at least) one third of this show for 13 (13!) fucking years. In any reasonable universe that should be the beginning, middle and end of any possible discussion of how disrespectful that fucking piece of audio is.
It should never have got close to getting on air, never-mind been stubbornly used daily for three months now. The parade of clueless, half-assed, failed fix attempts just act to underline and emphasise what an insulting abortion of an intro it represents.
I blame Sabean and Opie, it's got their idiot thumbprints all over it. Pair of dumb fucks. Sabean wanted to push 'The Brand' for his still-born MediaDestination horseshit, and me-me-me Spuds Buckley wanted some Greatest Hits overblown Todd Pettengill-type electronic noises to boost his pathological radio inferiority complex. O&A, featuring Jim Norton. He's the funniest person on the show and handles many interviews. James (stolen bus hero) could easily have a show of his own. Him and Ron Bennington--if they worked together more--could make a fucking brilliant 4-hour show at any time of day or night.
