Help finding a Colin Quinn appearance....

4  2014-02-23 by [deleted]

Can one of our resident experts help me find the appearance where Colin was in way before his first off Broadway show - it sounded like Colin really had nothing going on in his career and the guys were calling him out for being an unmotivated shut-in who filled in all these notebooks and he said someday he was going to use those notebooks for something but he didn't know what yet...

Anyway, given how respected and busy Colin has become since then I'd love to hear that again. Thanks if you can find it.

(I think this was around the time he helped Seinfeld with his car)

The part you're referring to starts around 56:00

Beat me to it. Yeah, OP should also check out all of his appearances from 05-07, it's a different Colin. Here's a playlist- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3YSlpsctHE&list=PLKOFxayaKJ0U0k5alYnyFi_w2fImhhB22

All credit to the great LHP.

Thanks. Colin is easily the most interesting person they have on the show. I'm reading Artie's book right now and had never known that Colin helped him so much when he was at his lowest. Hearing him go through this period of his career is really different when you know the outcome is good. at the time I remember thinking "Wow, that guy is FUCKED."

How did you do that?!

"You're an agoraphobic creep!"

Wow. What a difference 6 years makes.

EDIT: This clip is amazing. You should submit this for the delicious karma.

Colin Quinn is honestly the coolest guy of all time. He's the unofficial father of NY comics and everytime the business kicked him down he kept coming back. Not to mention how nice a guy he is off-air when he helped Artie through his attempted suicide

Plus he tolera- nay, likes Bobo. He's got thick skin.

Is it the one where he popped into the studio?

I don't know the context of his arrival. It may have been a "phoner." All I remember is that they kept talking about all these boxes full of notebooks he had and made him out to sound like he was really going nowhere career-wise, which is of course ironic in retrospect.

or maybe I'm remembering the whole thing wrong. I drink quite a bit.

FUCK I just listened to that... gimmie a sec to look...

EDITThis, if so the full

gonna keep looking..
