Ti West: "Friend of the show?"

7  2014-02-21 by [deleted]

He's a nice enough guy I certainly don't have anything against him or him being on the show, just curious if he has some off-mic "history" with the show. For some reason I thought he was associated with Anthony's ex girlfriend maybe? I'm a Nosy Nancy.

who else thinks his movies stink???

His fanboys are the worst. One step above Juggalos.

yeah, enjoy waiting for paranormal activity 12 and the newest studio reincarnation of Leatherface by michael bay.

DOWN VOTE!! DOWN VOTE!!

I haven't seen any, but horror movie just stink in general.

He is basically Ant's Kurt Fox. Befriended through his Ex, he is a fan of the show. No one cares about him

actually, a lot of people care about him. he's one of the top people in horror these days. writes/directs his own stuff and makes original content.

you anthony people will defend him to the grave huh? your trying to act like this guy is some A list director, i've never heard of him or his movies .

relax, buddy. I have no idea why my comment got voted down.

he's just an interesting and engaging guy that's doing really cool things in a genre I enjoy. has nothing to do with anthony and I never claimed he was anything close to a-list. and who watches a-list horror?

He really is one of the top modern horror directors, or at least he has a lot of heat. Honestly, I'm not a fan of his work, in fact i hate almost all of his movies but he has a huge cult following and is one of the more well know indie filmmakers.

His most notable films are House of the Devil, The Innkeepers, Cabin Fever 2, a segment in V/H/S and he had an acting part in You're Next.

take it for whatever its worth

source?: I have no life and only post in /r/opieandanthony and /r/horror

How the hell did you get listed out of "one of the top people in horror"? You see George Romero hobnobbing about town alot with Clooney and Pitt?

I came in to say just this. Nailed it. Listing all of theirs would be funny

perfectly said.

Ant got invited to the premiere of The Innkeepers, where Ti approached Anthony and pretty much told him he was a huge fan of the show and one of the main characters states an old Anthony line (Professor Anthony: I know little about alot of things) so after that he was invited on.

Did it suddenly become a thing to argue over Ti West? I like his movies, but the back and forth in this thread is fucking ridiculous.

I didn't mean for it to be. I was just asking if he had a history with the show and tried to make it clear I have nothing against him. But O&A fans will argue about pretty much anything.

Wasn't referring to the original post. Just how it turned into "LOLHESUCKS AND ANYONE THAT SAYS OTHERWISE ALSO SUCCKS" vs. "LOLNOPE"

Don't care that much that he's on the show every once in a while, seems like a good dude, whatevsttthh... Most of his stuff is decentish but like the guy or hate him, House of the Devil is a fantastic horror movie.

Yeah, I don't hate the guy at all - just wondering what his connection to the show was.

and to answer OP's question, I believe Ti knew Melissa in LA and turned her on to O&A before she ever even met Ant. She contacted him after she became a fan of the show.

Who?

10 mins was all he got........ and all he deserved.
