I don't think he will be able to defend Dunn the same way he was able to defend Zimmerman. In the Zimmerman trial there was at least some evidence that supported George's account of how shit went down. This case seems to be just blatant overreacting resulting in MMMUUUURRRRDERRRRRR.
Zimmerman's had nothing to do with SYG and he rightfully got a not guilty verdict based on the evidence actually supporting his claim of self defense.
The Dunn case actually (edit) didn't user SYG either used SYG, but there was no evidence that supported his claim and he didn't get a not-guilty charge, he actually got at least 60 years in jail and could even be retried on the murder charges. The most likely thing that happened was that the jury couldn't decided between first or second degree murder, not between guilty and not-guilty. The prosecutor botched this by not pursuing the much easier 2nd degree murder charge. The jury would have likely convicted in a matter of minutes on every charge.
The jury could have chosen second or even manslaughter in this case--they were not limited to first degree. I wonder if this was the real reason they couldn’t decide: which level to convict on.
