Hearing Ron and Opie today really gave a new insight into radio. Just guys chatting without the worry that anything they would say that would bring up any issues that would eventually delve into some miserable old guineas thoughts.
When I was younger I used to hate the shit out of Anthony and eventually I liked him because of the quick liners he would spit out. Eventually I hated Opie because all I wanted was one liners. GET ME IN, MAKE ME LAUGH, GET ME OUT.
Jesus Christ this is some good shit, Opie with someone else who actually does radio with a witty one liner guy(Jimmy), I guess this is what O&A was all those years back on terrestrial.

You can plug him into any O&A(&J) configuration and he makes the show better. His timing is impeccable, he can tell a story, he can run with a bit and kill it, and his music knowledge runs deep.
He is (was) the strongest host on the Virus until the stand alone fruit forced a split off onto Raw Dog.

Do you ever listen to Opie's mentor Brother Wease? Exactly. Opie would basically be a small or mid-sized local market guy. He'd probably have moved around a few times by now as well. He's not the talentless piece of shit that some people make him out to be on here, but at the same time, he's basically just what any old college graduate would end up being if they stuck to radio and spent 30+ years doing it.
