If Opie had "summer lovin" with a girl going into her freshman year at college, isn't he essentially saying that he was fucking the local high school senior?
I bring it up because Opie said it was during his post-collegiate campus loitering phase... so Opie was probably 24-25.
It's not a big deal - but it's somehow sadder to picture a grown man with a 5 o'clock shadow getting emotionally invested in a teenager that completely forgot about him.
