I'm just finally listening to this and his voice sounds much deeper than I remember, to the point that it almost sounds processed. He sounded so different I thought it was a bit. Is that from the TRT?

Being in a studio, especially a radio studio, probably picked up the bass in his voice. Then again, it could just be age. Compare it to something recent like this
