Each daily show usually gets hundreds to thousands of hits. And there are multiple channels. So over a week that 10's of thousands of people finding it. So the 2 people per week that can't use Google or Youtube search are way less than 1%.

These are not lawyers, or computer illiterate truckers like most of the people that come here asking for sources. They are computer savvy users who know about all the sources like torrents, newsgroups, streaming sites, peer to peer, etc.

The amount of hits that YouTube gets has nothing to do with the amount of people finding O&A shows compared to the number of people asking. That was merely an example that very few people are having issues finding them. Very Few people are having issues finding them because search engines and sites are designed to show content not hide it. Changing the name of the show slightly is not hiding it from anyone. If I can find it in 10 minutes they can find it in 1 minute, without issue, ever.

The only thing saving O&A from more takedown requests is probably the fact that there are more pirated materials owned by SXM that are more popular. The firm looks around and creates a report showing the top 10 most pirated content for that copyright owner. Then they extrapolate that against unknown sources to estimate the amount of lost revenue.

They show this to the copyright holder to entice them to retain them to issue takedown notices through legal action. Then if the client agrees they do it.
