NYPD cop moonlighting as a comedian and touring with Dice in his prime. Outed and fired with his pension at stake... I could see this as a comedy starring Kevin James as Kenny or a drama.

He didn't get fired in the end. He was suspended without pay, and they brought some sort of internal misconduct charges against him and threatened to take away his pension.

Technically he wasn't fired. He retired in 06 with his full 25 year pension, unused sick days, and vacation time paid for as part of a settlement. I would think if they had anything worse than his act, they would have brought it up.

Depends. Back then the good old boys network was a lot stronger then it is today. As long as he didnt fuck over anyone too big he'd be safe.
