Jim's shows

I'm going to see jimmy for the first time on Saturday. Actually, it'll be my first standup show too. Anyways, I was wondering if he does meet and greets after shows where I could get a picture with him. If not, I still can't fucking wait. Thanks gang!

He'll be at the merch table.

Make sure you have your camera ready to properly take the photo.

As much as I love Jimmy on the show I'm not big on his standup. The closer it gets to the weekend though I am regretting not going. I would love to just shake his hand and tell him how much I love him on the show. In answer to your question, I think I heard him say he does meet and greets at every show. If the punchline were in the city and not stupid fuckin' Roswell I'd definitely be going. Standup shows are a blast to go to, haven't had a shitty time at the Punchline yet. Enjoy your first.

Dude I had the same exact thought it actually really bugs the shit out of me since on the show he is hands down the funniest, most witty guy I've ever heard in my entire life. I'm a newer fan so I'm trying to catch up so I recently watched one of his newer specials and I don't know but it just barely made me laugh, wtf is wrong w/ me damnit??

Yeah, it ain't you. Like the other guy who replied here, I'm a big fan of stand up comedy and if I sat down to make a list, Jimmy wouldn't even come close to my top ten favorite comics. On the show though.... the man is a genius. I still feel kind of obliged to go see him live at least once. Also, after making it through most of his last special, I can say that I am thoroughly creeped out by that big, weird, forced smile that he does between jokes while he's getting a laugh.

I always thought his stand up is not great despite the fact that he's a comedic genius on the show. but then I noticed that in small portions like on talk shows or festivals his stand up bits are really great. it's like the more intimate the scenario and the more conversational he gets the funnier and sharper his routine becomes. But in his specials I can barely even recognize him..

Thought I would be vilified for that tbh; not sure what it is though, but again , Jim on the show is fucking sheer brilliance. I just discovered Jimcy the other day : "two companies were dyin Sahmmm, they had to get togetha, it was mmmmmerrrrgggaahh" haha I mean who the fuck comes up w/ that on the fly and conceptualizes that quickly?

yeah that's what I said his mannerisms are strange and seem forced on stage and it's kinda douchey

It's not you, I'm a huge stand up fan, specials and in person, and his last two were just... not good. However, if you can see anybody live, go, because in person it can be way funnier. I saw Chappelle 3 times and I had tears of laughter the entire time from about 2 minutes in.

I'll have to get his earlier specials and check em out; I mean they would pretty much have to be good I would think

so, after making it through most of his last special, I can say that I am thoroughly creeped out by that big, weird, forced smile that he does between jokes while he's getting a laugh.

I think Jim Norton is especially funnier in person then on his specials. His stand up comes across as, I don't know, a little forced when it's recorded for broadcast--like he's doing a character version of himself from the show on stage. However, for some reason the absurdity of some of the things he says when you are seeing it in person makes it seem a lot more genuine live.

Jimmy is hilarious and more relaxed on the show but I feel like in his stand-up he makes weird faces and comes of as really uncomfortable. Also I enjoy listening to him talk about his opinion for 20 mins with a bunch of jokes sprinkled in on radio but in his stand-up he discusses the same topic for 1-2 mins and tries to cram jokes in

I saw Jimmy two weeks ago in Raleigh. He took pictures with everyone who wanted them with his own camera, and put them up on jimnorton.com

Kenny is also there working the merch table and will get in the picture if you ask.

Oh fuck yeah

I've seen Jimmy like 5 times. Every time he comes to the west coast I go see him. His shows are awesome (but I'm a huge Norton fan) and every single show he stands either outside or near the door and shakes hands with and takes pictures with anyone who wants one. He's very patient about the quality of the photos and I've even heard him ask people if their picture came out OK, or if they wanted to take a photo again with their flash on. He's a really good guy. Enjoy your time.

I went to see him in Boston a few years ago, and I remember he did then. Have fun, hope he comes back around here soon!

Seen him twice, both times he was available after the show for pics and autographs. Kenny will probably be there too, he was there for both shows helping at the merch table.

He's great live, I feel like whenever you're seeing live standup, it's always better than watching a special. It's always a really fun time, and he always hangs out after; especially if it's the late show he's gonna have plenty of time there.

jimmy is awesome to his fans i saw him he took a pic shook my hand and talked to me really cool guy. i was also excited to see club soda but jesus he's much scarier in person then you think hahaha enjoy my man.

Be sure to bring up his pro-hunting stance

Despite how I feel about his stand-up I'd really like to meet him next time he's performing in NYC because Jimmy is one of coolest dudes ever and I wanna tell him how much I've been influenced by him and the boys

It's a mediocre time

Not another anti-show novelty account. Please. I can't take another one.

Yeah, typical O&A fans to run something into the ground.

Damn Danny, tell ur buddy how u really feel.

Yeah cuz that's him. :\
