So is Sabean making them take more calls?

Out of the blue they decide to take calls that they would normally NEVER put up with. We got one "We heard you!" out of a couple dozen actual boring phone calls. What's the deal with this?

I highly doubt it. But then out of nowhere Ron B. mentioned a couple years ago that management wanted him to mention where the caller was calling from, not just the callers name like he always had. From then on he always says name, state.
If Sabean is forcing Opie to take more calls I feel like he would mention it once.

You gotta say it like Mr. Imus says it.

I think Opie was just being lazy on a Friday and was looking for some filler. He kept teasing the "strange addiction" clip and used it as an excuse for taking all of the calls.

Lets not pretend Sabaen can "make" them do anything. He can suggest at most. Opie does like taking calls because its more interactive and helps move the show long. When you see Opie taking calls when theres a guest comedian in studio then you can make such a claim.

Opie does love a good shittty phone call. I have to admit I kinda like I when they let a shitty caller ramble on and just laugh. Nothing makes me laugh more than opie saying "wait h/o jimmy we need to get to this, hello?" "Uh hi it's bobo..."
