What happened with Anthony and FH Riley's?
9 2014-01-17 by Andrewskoff
I've heard a few references to something that went down with Anthony at the restaurant and I haven't been able to find the story anywhere. I could be delirious from recently-contracted AIDS but I figured I may as well ask.

Am I right in taking away from this that a millionaire wanted to be comped by what amounts to a small business because he works with the owner's brother? What a stingey cunt.
e: Nvm, Daahar makes way more sense than me.

Nah, it was more like a place getting free plugs on your show for years, you holding fan events there and showing up for fans, and then them treating you like you`re some random guy by making you wait in line with everyone else and not even comping you a drink at the end.

There's a great podcast about Caesar's Palace, and how they get people to blow millions of dollars gambling. Basically they said that a big part of the appeal is exclusivity. That's the reason that they intentionally create lines in front of restaurants, and you wait 40 minutes to get into a nightclub that's half empty. At Caesar's Palace they're making people wait ON PURPOSE, because they figured out that people fucking HATE to wait. And when they comp someone, or send them to the head of the line, or put them in the VIP area for free, it really opens up the ol' wallet.
TLDR : Ant is a dude that is accustomed to these privileges, so it probably makes him completely apoplectic when they're not available.

I forgot to mention that Opie co-owns FH. Ant wouldn't even be going there if it wasn't promoted as an O&A hangout. I would hate to have my business partner using our company/brand to promote his own business in the first place, but that's me.

Good point and I agree with you. But he could at least call ahead.

IIRC, it was a planned event where the O&A guys were making an off-air appearance at Riley's. The restaurant certainly profited from them being there and couldn't even reserve a table for the guy.

He was more concerned with the 45 minute wait for a table

Where the hell is that twitterbot that reads tweets?

Yes Anthony. Yes you sure are.

This was embarrassing, sure they plug the restaurant on the show but throwing it under the bus like that is kind of a shitty thing to do. Big deal he had to wait 45mins for a table.

Am I crazy or did they argue about this on the air at one point?
1 BigGreenYamo 2014-01-17
I think it was off air, but on Paltalk right before the start of a show.
