The idea of comedians telling "big fish" stories about a legendary hack is really cool and the director seems like a really funny dude, but the trailer kind of lacks punch. I can't put my finger on it exactly--and no disrespect to the man--but it seems like he respects the comedians so much he's afraid to cut out some of the more meandering stories.
But it's just a trailer and it probably doesn't do the narrative justice. Not to mention there was some real gold in that trailer, too. Shit, I'd check it out just for the concept alone.
The curious thing was Little Yimmys complete lack of interest for this thing. It must really fucking suck if you forget that you're in it, and don't give a shit when its brought up on air.
I really like how Opie moved on at the end of the trailer to the next topic of discussion without skipping a beat or a 2nd mention of the URL or trailer to the listeners. Yet, if it was something that a friend of the show put out cough, cough Jim Breuer, he would have pumped it up like it was the funniest thing he's heard all year.
