According to that site Jimmy has 90,000 fakes and Ant has as many fakes as Opie (but 20,000 less legit followers). I doubt Jim or Ant would buy followers so I'm inclined to think neither did Opie given the similarity of the figures.
I believe going around following random people is how people generate fake accounts. I barely use twitter and have about 5 real followers, and even I have gotten about 4 fake followers.
He's all about being more than a radio personality. His "I'm Opie from....a lotta things" on the old You Know What Dude intro was so awesomely cringe inducing, I miss it.
