TODAYS SHOW 1/9/2014 Q THE IMPRACTICAL JOKER
12 2014-01-09 by tesd42
Q is on a podcast called Tell Em Steve Dave with a couple of Kevin Smith's best childhood friends. It has a very combative nature and I think any O and A fan would love it. Just giving a heads up because I am a huge fan of both.

I always liked the Impractical Jokers crew even though I think they stage a lot of shit.

Yeah. No doubt that it is staged. TruTV stages all of it's show (ironically enough) but they seem like decent dudes.

I think if you listened to the podcast you might have a different opinion about impractical jokers in particular. Maybe not, but I personally don't think they stage their stuff.

I could be wrong but any time I catch the show it seems staged. The way it goes with lawyers these days you can't get away with too much.

A lot of those shows are "staged" in the way that if you pass within a certain zone where they are filming. they will get you to sign a release if necessary. Or I think the other method is to put up a sign that you might be filmed (not necessarily for a TV show) and then afterwards get the people who you filmed to sign a release. Otherwise they'll just blur out your face.

i thought it was too but i listened to their podcast and its all real, you can tell its real reactions, most trutv crap is so over the top.

im a huge cynic when it comes to reality tv and when i first saw it i thought it was fake, and i thought it was funny and i didnt want to like it because i assumed it was fake and then i did some research and it seems its real.
usually with fake reality shows the first season seems semi real and then they go over the top for ratings and have insane scenarios and characters.

I hadn't watched it until last week because I assumed it was staged, but I ended up laughing really hard. I figure it's mostly real, but in the same way that Cash Cab was. Some of the bits probably require people to agree to be a part of "something" ahead of time, but those aren't actors (like most of the shitty TruTV shows).

It's hard to tell.. but I know as one punishment one of the guys had to get on a boat and look through trash to find his phone... and the boat starts moving and of course he didnt realize until there was nothing he could do about it...
.. those are staged.

I just watched it for the first time last night. I think some of the punishments may be fake. But I'm pretty sure a lot of the meat of the show is real. Its also very funny. I laughed a lot.

I'm a long time TESD fan and I agree, I think a lot of O&A fans would enjoy the show.
The great Jasonayeiter put up a TESD Welcome Pack to help introduce people to the show.
All of the weekly pods are great, but if you are looking for the best of the best, my favorites are:
Makin' Hay pt.1/Makin' Hay pt.2
Walt Goes Postal
WallyWood Squares
Nothing Comes Between me and My Dickies
Bottle Dump
Tales from the Chocolate Fountain

makin' hay is a must listen, but feel free to jump ahead almost an hour to where the meat is

I need something new now that the Big Three Podcast is no longer. Will definitely check this out.

Perry Karamello is to blame for The Big 3 breaking up. #whatdidido

I saw 'Her', and remembered Spike Jonze was gonna be direct WCH2 until Perry tried to sue him.
It's so fucking angering. After the year Spike Jonze and Johnny Knoxville had, I don't know how Don hasn't murdered him for real.
2 oandasuperfan 2014-01-09
I know that Perry tried to sue Jimmy Kimmel and Johnny Knoxville. Bobcat was on Joe Rogan talking about WCH and the possibility of him directing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxbUt-oFylU&list=FLDCuWfiSVQQ_uMRHp3yrREg&index=3

I can't believe they didn't ask Sal about his Super Aids.

Staged or not, this bit from Impractical Jokers is one of the funniest nightmares I've seen in a while: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uT96eX7JJ3Q

It's all fake reactions right? Impractical jokers..?
-3 Motorboat_Jones 2014-01-09
This segment was a shit pile. So much ball washing and those guys are anything but funny. 25 minutes of terrible.
1 tesd42 2014-01-09
Yeah I don't think they are that funny, but the podcast I mentioned is quite funny and Q is only a small part of it.
