Started tuning in around 08.. drive around for work so would always catch the show live when it'd start at 5am cdt.

It really seems like in recent months the direction of the show and just the general feeling of it has gone downhill. I'm pinning it on them being cooped-up in that monkey cage studio and sirius bringing them down with not being able to budge on new ideas. When i first started listening they were still on xm.. might of caught that for a couple years. Seemed more fun then and xm would do stuff for them. Ever since sirius took over its like nope.. bare minimum and opie trying to do anything to get the show proceeding forward, is like pulling teeth.

So i tried listening since the "new year" but first thing i hear is sam's voice.. i'm out i change the station. Best part used to be that first hour where they chat about shit and sam's yapper is on the backburner. Tried to tune in later but if i hear "freedom of speech" or things to do with "race", its not gonna be a fun show so i change it. And then tried tuning in later but it was that fat hag. Not into her at all. Total loser. So changed the station. Where's the hot women they used to have on?

And then the rest of the time ya got them sucking up to and brown-nosing celebs that don't respect them. Enough of that shit.

Tried to give you some tips a few weeks back of ideas to make the show better. Its like they're just coasting along until they retire and any success was back in the "good old days". There's no ideas for fun stuff. It just seems like its pretty much bickering about entertainment news. And then it'll go off to "freedom of speech". Well your wooden nickel two cents about it ain't gonna change fuck all, but it sure does bring the show down and make it suck. So keep headin in the direction you think the show should go and pretty soon the numbers 'll be down and it'll get cancelled. Sure aint gonna be able to pay them millions with these 10minute blocks of commercials that everybody just changes the station during. Tried to give you some tips there too but nope.. so have fun failing.

You'll know the O&A ship is sinking when they downgrade that higher quality audio to the mudbox flanging 8bit sound they got on the other entertainment stations. That'll be your clue that they're done. That'll be coming soon too, i bet.

My total listening time in the past couple days has been about half an hour. Face it guys, the show fucking sucks.

I thought the two shows they did this year have been good. Also, who cares about "hot chicks" on the radio? They are bores and add nothing to the show.

That's where this guy's post lost all credibility. Lady Di is going to 100x more entertaining on the radio than if they had some model or Penthouse girl in studio. The fact that he says twice that he "gave them tips" just shows how delusional he is about how important he and his opinion are.

I've been a fan of the show since they came back to regular radio and have been a "daily" listener for almost 4 years.

I know there are good shows, great shows, and bad shows, but I can't figure out what you guys (generalization) are hearing that you think it so shitty?

The bitching can be prevalent, but it is pertinent to the show, and how much do they really do anyway?

The lack of enthusiasm complaints are what confuses me. What do you want? A 3 ring circus of ridiculous and pointless bullshit everyday? How entertaining is radio nudity, sexual or gross out content really? They still do that stuff but it sounds like you guys want it for every show.

TLDR: They talk about current stuff and I get some chuckles. Maybe I just have lower expectations.

i will have fun, thank you. this has been only the second show of the new year and the new channel and i am more than willing to give them a chance to settle in. if you have been a fan for so long, why not hang on for a couple more months to see them settle in?

to say the have no imagination is not a fair assessment since SiriusXm doesn't really allow them to do the shit they used to do when they were on terrestrial radio. if sirius promoted the show more they would get better sponsors, but if you listen to other channels, say CNN radio for instance, they have the same shitty sponsors for the most part. i don't think its really O&A's fault there. where is the motivation anyway when your company won't fix basic things like the android app (not sure about the iphone app) and online player?

I disagree almost entirely but let me explain.

I was a Howard --> O&A convert after a friend suggested I try talk-radio or audiobooks while working (I do odd jobs/usually from home). I see a lot of complaints in this sub' and while I do understand, I don't identify.

I'm certainly not an O&A purist by any means, but I've listened every day for the past two years for one (maybe one and a half) reason: entertainment. if it ever stopped being entertaining then sure, I'd quit listening or at worst, dig up some old shows/popular bits.

one thing I suggest is; don't be so isolated to just the audio when tuning in. for example, I've been working on a project car the past few months and I've noticed I haven't lost my temper (not even in the slightest) which has NEVER happened before. sure, maturity might be the reason but it's tough to get mad when Jimmy has just cut himself off mid-sentence to shit on himself.

recently, I thought the Neil DeGrasse Tyson interview was phenomenal and steered perfectly...speaking of, Mike Tyson is always gold. Michael Ché was awesome, the magician Eric (sup /u/EricGoldfarbMagic ?) was rad, and jimmy was ON FIRE the last few days before break.

I dunno--maybe I am a little foolish or easily entertained but I just don't get the gripes about the show...and I'm kind of a bitter old fuck myself. peace.

Yeah that really bugs me too. They pause the video 50 times and talk over it so in the end a 45 second video takes 15 minutes to get thru and a lot of what they stop for is pointless interjections.

This is also annoying when I try to sync video with their audio just so people have some sort of visual element to go with it. Pausing then rewinding a few seconds and all that stuff.

Yeah VideOandA on youtube does a good job of synching a lot of their youtube commentary up with the actual videos. You don't get to listen/watch in real time as it airs but sometimes it's still worth it to check it out at a later date.
