One of the clip wizards might be able to dig up the show where Anthony got brutally honest about his string of disastrous relationships. It was good radio, seemed to catch everyone off guard at the time.

It was one of those shows were Jimmy was out and Opie and Anthony were so uncomfortable talking to each other (since they hate each other) that Ant went into details about his dating mishaps. Usually they reminsce about the same 5 AAF stories during these days

I would say that everything was working fine until they returned to regular radio. They were put in a tough spot following Stern but they did themselves no favors by having a 3 hour show that simply did not relate to the Older Stern audience. Once things started going bad Ant routinely called out sick and that only made things worse

I'm in the opposite boat. I live on the westcoast, so I can't listen to live shows. Stuff like LFTC is an interesting blip on the O&A radar for me.

Do you think there is any truth to the rumors that Ant and Ope used to drink on air? Ant looks like a greasy midday drunk in all the old in-studio pictures, and Dice once said that Ope needs a bottle of bourbon to be funny behind a mic... It would explain their loss of inhibitions, energy, and overall fun over the years.

Of course they drank on the air, it's perfectly legal. They could drink on the air now if they wanted to.

I asked because it might have been faked, and this guy might be Ben Sparks. Besides that point, you're assuming there is nothing in their contract that says otherwise. I worked at a place that had an in-office fully stocked bar, but I had to sign an agreement in my contract that I would not use drugs or alcohol at work. Supposedly that was just a "legal technicality", but I never ever drank at that place, even when offered.

I think its a combination of 1&3 and other things. Friends before divorce and xm days and buisness partners after. who knows what happened, divorce, death, insanity, alcoholism, racism, plenty of other "isms" and the almighty $. Someones going to write a good book though

He went through a few uncomfortable years during the XM era when he would literally hit on every female guest. I think he finally smartened up and realized he's not the 'dating type'. He has enough money and influence to where he can just fuck em and leave em.
