Best O&A Fights/Cringe Moments

10  2013-12-23 by Ebhagz

Hey guys I love when there's drama on the show and I was wondering what you guys thought were the best fights or awkward cringe moments in Opie and Anthony history some of my favorites are :

  • Steve C vs Danny
  • Patrice vs Gallagher
  • Opie vs Jimmy
  • Tucker Max interview
  • Rich Vos vs Mike Birbiglia and JBL

Also why do you think we love these awkward moments so much?

The poker chips (wassat?) incident- audio, video of Opie actually throwing them.

The toothpick art fella- audio, video

Dead daughter caller- audio

Ruth Buzzi interview- audio

Brocabulary- audio

Linda Blair- audio

Steve the Whistler- audio

Bernie Goetz- audio part 1, audio part 2

Richard Jeni- audio part 1, audio part 2

Golden Mood Guy- audio

Brocabulary was soooo douchey.

I could watch the poker chip video every day and it wouldn't get old.

I forgot about the Ruth Buzzi interview. Opie lost that one in a bloodbath.

Richard Jeni- audio part 1, audio part 2

That was great. BTW, this guy wasn't kidding with the "sticking a fork in his forehead" comment. He shot himself in the head in 2007.

When they got fired from K-rock was some nice drama.

Oh no, he's not Lady Di.

even though it was never serious, when bill and derosa would go at it was always good, bill would scold him like a child.

"jesus joe, its 6:30 why are you yelling?"

"did you just say livelihood?"

This one is one of my favorites: Danny vs. Mars

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJl1kXKg3dA

The best part:

Danny: "Everybody hates me! And they hate you too!"

Mars: "Yeah, you think so?"

Danny: "...Probably!"

Here's a tl;dr of the fight:

Danny projects something onto Mars.

Danny: "MARS, STOP PROJECTING!!!"

Danny was always a little worm, but much more so in this clip than most others.

Vos vs Mike Birbiglia was some brutal shit.

Yeah Birbiglia vs Vos is my all time favorite because it was so brutal do you know if there was ever a fight that intense?

I've always loved Birbiglia - and I never would have thought he had it in him to get so venomous. He fucking killed that day, he made Vos look like a total retard.

I thought everything about that show was brutal like JBL's driver throwing in zingers at Birbiglia and then Roland destroying Vos and the whole time Vos and Jimmy were playing scrabble ignoring JBL lol

The end of Briggleby on the show, right?

Jesus I'm hearing that now, good god Vos is brutal

Pretty much anything in this "Danny Ross is a Crybaby" playlist.

It wasn't a "fight" per say, but the uncomfortableness around Ralphie May after Ant called him out was great.

Is there a link? I can't find this and I've never heard it.

The big two I can think of that haven't been mentioned are the two fights Op and Ant have gotten into, but I believe both took place back in the XM days.

Also, Patrice vs Danny is a good one. Any time somebody shits on Danny, I'm happy.

Yea Patrice vs Danny was good. Danny was so god damn good at being a subtly passive aggressive cunt in a way that's hard to call him out for or articulate

Just recently the Sal vs Travis was really cringey because they were pretty much agreeing with each other but still trying to get the best of each other.

That's a good one.

Ant vs. Ian Halperin

Google it!

Opie vs Jimmy was super uncomfortable but great radio.

Danny fought with everyone because he was/is a douchebag. He was terrible.

yeah this is one of my favorites because they couldn't get past the awkwardness lol

wasnt really a fight, but 1 time burr was in and op was getting a little mouthy and billy said "oh yeah, point guard? why dont you go dig up some topics for us to discuss." and op shut the fuck up and realized his place for once

Link Please? and also recently Burr came in and trashed the whole show for being overly negative about everything

That was a recent phoner when Ant was trashing Bill Cosby.

The first interview with The Rock (walked out)

Has-been corner with Cindy Williams (Lewis Black in studio)

Sorry, I can't be bothered to provide YT links. I'm also a lazy fuck.

Erock's lateness causes a staff fight:

Patrice vs. Burr as cringe if only because they're the two greatest people who have ever lived.

A cringe appearance/kind of fight was Paul Mercurio's last appearance prior to Sex for Sam. They had him on for an hour prior to July 4... He over-the-top bombed, as was getting shit on by everyone in studio. I still think he thought that jeopardized his standing with the show/he saw his spot slipping away, and wanted to prove himself at SFS (he really only got on the show significantly after yelling at Kathleen Turner in a theatre).

When Opie tries to be funny

That's a good one.
