When was O&As peak? Quality wise and/or popularity wise.

fuck the company for stopping the constant comics, thats where the show started to become news, pop culture, boring shit, instead of seeing who can try to insult the other worse, those shows flew by.

You sure the company stopped the constant comics and it wasn't just the comedians all got their own podcasts and didn't need to do O&A anymore?

If they had the rights to all of their shows, they would have a gold mine. I listened to old clips and there are guys that are dead/forgotten that were gold on the show, and O&A were really pushing things along.

Quality wise was the time between getting kicked off the terrestrial stations they were simulcasting to and moving to the Sirius building. They had a great studio and a different comedian guest every day of the week.

As far as number of listeners it was 2001-2002 on WNEW. As far as content, April 2009-Dec 2011.

Quality Wise: 2005-2008 Popularity: 2001-2002, 2004-2005, 2006 with the FREE FM.

I started listening around 09-10. The peaks for me are whenever they have one of the freaks like Bobo or Ira in. That's just what I like.

I honestly just don't care about the news, politics and entertainment news topics that get brought up. Listening to the show when I'm working is fine, but seeing the topic breakdown on youtube is a little rough.

Completely agree, I just want to laugh. Remember Intern David? Fucking hilarious.

The E-Lo years had consistently entertaining, funny, and classic shows. Add the live audience bit and it was gold more than it wasn't. In terms of timeline, if they did a walkover, the show was probably great.

I still love the show and listen regularly, but those pull-over, stay-in-the-driveway moments are fewer and farther between.

Around when Homeless Mustard came in, the months before that, the show had a serious golden era. Some amazing stuff that fall.

Quality-wise: The last year.

Yeah, I added the popularity part because of the whole XM/terrestrial paring. What do you think about WNEW O&A in terms of quality? I mean they were the XFL commentators...Haha. I also like frantic cigarette-voice jimmy, and some of the other comics they had on back then.

Hacky as compared to what else was out there at the time, or hacky as compared to now?

You may be right, but the show today is slow and boring. You can predict the show by reading the drudgereport

When Patrice was in. After that, it just became middle-aged entitled white guys complaining.

Oh, yeah. Like this subreddit is any different!

minus the middle-aged part.

I think you're missing the point of the show

do ya?

Yes. Enough of the Patrice boo hoo shit. There was a show before him and after. His cackling actually turned me off at first.

You don't feel like it's just a bunch of rich white guys complaining about trivial stuff and feigning outrage from a right wing position? Fair enough, you just see things different than I do.

It literally is "a bunch" of white guys - actually 3 - complaining about trivial stuff...blah blah. What's you're point?
