This guy is a novelty. Imagine 20 hours a week of his pathetic shit? If they want to kill the channel and drive listeners away from subscriptions then sure. The Scorch joke is kind of played out at this point, it's posted in every single one of these threads.
I agree with you, but I also think that if Scorch had a really good producer (someone who could help him reshape his image a bit and capitalize on his strengths) then he might be able to pull off a decent career -maybe not in this time slot, but somewhere. There are way shittier "DJs" than Scorch enjoying local success all over the country. I can't help but love the guy.
Join the club -me too. Anyone who can throw together 3-4 different versions of a "TV show" or webcast is a friend of mine. I honestly like the guy. And Syb -I like Syb too.
I love Ari, but I don't think he could (or would want to) carry a 3 hour radio show a day. He's a stand up first and foremost, it would get in the way of his career.
Dr. Steve one day... bring in Bobby to do a live YKWD... while I don't think I could sit through three hours of Jim doing a call-in show, I'd like to hear him on his own and have his own guests since Opie and Ant can't get out the building fast enough and I'm sure there's plenty of guests in the building between noon-3 that could come in... A Jim Breuer show could be good (as long as I never have to hear that shitty santa song)... and East Side Dave.
They could do this just by popping up Podcasts/Wierd Medicine. Aside from that, you do realize how lazy management is right? No way they're going to sign that many contracts.
Its not Joe Rogan. Listen to his podcast. He's said over and over he loves the podcast, and wouldn't change that because it allows him to do ufc, his comedy, and whatever other projects he's got going on.
He also has plenty of money and doesn't need a corporate gig who will bust his balls and shit. He has fuck you money. He played the company man for NBC and it made he plenty of money not to have to do it again.
John and Jeff. The boys used to work with them and you know they are available. Think of how much better they would be at a time with alert and awake listeners to call in.
.>I've got my money on Rogan.
No way that happens. I'd honestly like a Sam and Whoo Kid show but it's a very long shot.
I'm thinking a show with Whoo Kid and Sam Roberts, maybe with the return of Troy Quan somewhere in the mix. I do like the Rogan idea, but it seems like he's got too much of his own shit going on, and being on the west coast always seems like a problem with SiriusXM.
Kidd Chris went to #1 in Cincinnati in 6 months. He's killing it there. No way in Hell Sirius could pay him close to enough money. He's on record many times over the years saying Sirius has offered him dog sh!t money.
I just listening to the clip of him quitting and U just cringed my way through it. Not that a gave a shit, but he wanted so much for it to be a big deal, focused on him, talk out his problems... and they just said "You quit? Alright, seeya. Thanks for stopping by."
ol' Joe first paragraph of a wikipedia article Rogan.
The only thing that stinks worse than that big dummy are the noisy basement bro-clowns who dig him. And Redban. That's the only two things that stink worse than Rogan. And professional drug bores. That's the only three things that stink worse than Rogan. And MMA fans ...

SCORCH -I would give anything for that to happen.
Edit: Also, I believe he's available.

How on earth could "color of the day" get old?
4 Fidena 2013-12-08
This couldn't be less of a possibility due to Sirius XM management, but I'm really hoping.
2 corporateplaceholder 2013-12-08
i think scorch and denny would be a good combo but denny'd most likely hate him.
1 squidfartz 2013-12-08
Boy, you are probably right about that. Scorch needs to bring it down a notch, but then he wouldn't be Scorch.

Ari Shaffir- He is out of Joe Rogan's shadow. He has moved to New York and his podcast The Skeptic Tank is great.
4 rahtin 2013-12-08

Agreed, but I think it's because he's a stoner first and foremost. Same reason anyone who thinks Rogan would fill it is wrong.

I'd like to hear a different show every day.
6 Karl_Dilkington 2013-12-08
Without Burr Joe Derosa would be the worst show in america.
1 Lackbear 2013-12-08
Joe DeRosa is working on the Pete Holmes TV show. He's not going to give up that gig.

The Neil Sedaka Music Excursion
1 HANKKKINGSLEY 2013-12-08
I like it but I'm just going to blue sky this and suggest Neil Sedaka's Midnight Special (At 11, which would be a special kind of midnight)
2 Kneecaps 2013-12-08
Dr. Steve. I love his podcast and I'd like to hear him try to do a normal show. Maybe one or two days he can do medical advice.

Sam and Whoo Kid makes the most sense...they both have radio experience and some chemistry.
