If siriusxm is going to give him a chance now is as good time as ever. He'll be on a channel he's already on and will have a familiar fan base. No better way to be eased in than that. Also, Opie said the show will be a show we're familiar with already.

The only reason I even found out about ron and fez was because i was an O&A fan first. I think for the most part that's how a majority of us landed on them. so subscribers has nothing to do with it either.
Rnf were a syndicated show out of Florida. They were and still are radio legends down there. They brought in plenty of subscribers. Just like how Joe Rogan would.

Outside of Florida no one knew them, and they didn't even know coming to NYC would work. Also, they were on WNEW in New York before going to satellite radio, and while they were there they became friends with O&A which is why R&F was given the golden ticket. AGAIN, FRIENDS OF O&A. Rogan has his own gig and isn't going to siriusxm anytime soon. He doesn't have the time to do a show 5 times a week for 4 hours, AND do UFC, comedy, and whatever else the fuck he does. His podcast works because he can do 2-3 of those anytime during the day he wants, for however long he wants. A mid-day radio show is a completely different beast.
I hate Sam with a fucking passion. For him, it's all a show just like Vince trained him. He fucking loves TMZ/Radar/the WWF -- not for the trainwreck, but for the culture. He loves pop culture.
Sam could get a nice morning gig, a 4 hour show if he disavows the show and moves to a non-NYC/LA market. Jocks who do mornings in major markets make more than $200k a year. He'd do well to just move on.
He is on Shade 45 on Saturdays but I think the reason he is there all the time is because he pre tapes a lot of interviews with various celebs during the week.

im praying for a show like this, whoo kid and sam and bob have good chemistry together, and they all love dave too so i think it would be a good high energy show.
Sam, Whoo Kid, and Dave would definitely be entertaining. I can only imagine how Dave and Whoo Kid's interactions would go. Talk about two completely different worlds. Although they both love to say the most outrageous funny shit, so they have that in common.
