Does anyone have the audio from the show that replaced opie and anthony back in the fm days in new york? I swear the guy that they put on got pranked so hard that he quit. He vented on the air and read the hate mail that he got and had a breakdown. He also bashed long island and completely lost his cool. I wish I wasn't a dummy and could remember who he was and try to find it myself.

The New York Daily News is reporting that WNEW-FM, former home of "Opie and Anthony", has replaced the recently fired duo - at least temporarily - with Tom Leykis, a Los Angeles-based talk show host.

They have never played the audio as far a I know but I wish they did. I could never forget being in my car and putting the station on to hear the guy they replaced them with. He went nuts after being on the air for a few days. He said that someone called his house and told him to drive his car into an Aids tree and die lol and that put him over the edge. Im searching the internet like crazy trying to post it on here hopefully I can locate it because it is amazing.

No it was a typical radio DJ and did not belong on the air to replace them. I believe the station threw this poor guy into the fire after the sex for sam fiasco. He only lasted a few weeks and got slammed all day from the pests.

Only thing I have been able to narrow down that is was the end of August early september 2002. Cant even find the guys name.
