Without Patrice I don't know, but they could do something just like it. People like seeing comedians sit around and bullshit. So make a show where that's all it is.
There were many episodes without Patrice. Him and Giraldo were both fantastic on the original TC, but they just won't be making any appearances on the revival.
no they could for sure do it again with norton, dipalo, robinson, attell, vos, bobby, it would be magical, but it will never happen cause louie is on another level and you can tell from recent appearances that he thinks he's some genius when all he does is tell cunt jokes, sadly i think he moved on from OnA, its just a stop on his radio promo tour now.
Please please please bring back tough crowd. The closest thing we have to it is Chelsea Handler's cavalcade of unfunny women and gay comedians, if that's even still on the air.
Just listened to that. He was just jealous and butthurt so he unloaded on Louis (Gervais can go fuck himself, but overall he was ok on that show). Mohr should lighten up a bit.
Louie is successful because it's something new. Why would he just bring back shows that ran their course? Whatever he does - I expect it'll be something new - and it won't be a show with Jim as the lead.
Jimmy can't carry a show on his own. He comes across as overly excited/happy-to-be-here guy or standing on my intellectual soap box guy. There's no in between.
I believe he just means in reference to Talking Funny. It was a round table discussion between standup vets Seinfeld, Chris Rock, and Louis CK. Also Ricky Gervais gave his dumb opinions about standup, which he only just started doing. It was kinda douchy the way he steamrolled over the other comics in a few instances.
This is great news. Hopefully everyone who should have a show, gets one. Starting with CQ. A return of Tough Crowd would be monumental, I think the times could use a show like that. I was just reading the other day "why has there been no other topical shows to succeed like the daily show", or something to that effect - 'cause comedy central fucking gutted the greatest comedy show of all time. Would be tough without Patrice and Giraldo, as well all know. But anything with Colin at the helm of will be incredible, been proven time and again.

Fucking bring back Tough Crowd

Colin has also done his high profile one man shows. I would totally watch Tough Crowd on FX. I wonder if Colin still has the burn for it?

I'm going to give you a straight answer because maybe you honestly don't know. They have both died since the show went off the air.

I have a feeling, just a sneaking suspicion, that Louis pays no mind to the show or jimmy. I might be very very wrong.

Louie ditched the show and went Hollywood.
9 iamfromreallife 2013-12-03
As he should.

Jay Mohr was right about him and Ricky Gervais too.

Fuck Jay Mohr.

Louis must be getting a thousand texts from his comedian pals today.

I agree 100%. He wants to be innovative not just dig up his old comedian friend's shows no matter how much we miss with.

If he did a round table, tough crowd/talking funny-esque show that would be fantastic
14 bimpy 2013-12-03
Yeah but please no gervais.
1 jackruby1123 2013-12-03
This is the first time I gave seen anyone complain about him. Why does no one like him around here?

I don't know if Jim could carry a show himself, but he could be an ensemble player.
9 FrogLevel 2013-12-03
I totally agree. Not enough talent there.
5 Spekk10 2013-12-03
His characters would make one hell of a sketch/reality show ala Kroll
3 Clown_Shoe 2013-12-03
I dont think it would start off well. His characters grow on you more than anything. New listeners probably hate his characters for a bit.
I don't see it translating to tv all that well at least not for some time.
I think if he was part of a group and brought his characters out slowly it would work better than if he had his own sketch show like Kroll
0 jackruby1123 2013-12-03
Well look how well that worked out for Kroll. That show was a fucked to death pile of burning garbage.
3 TijnTijn 2013-12-03
Stupid little jimmy just wants a late night/interview show so that he can get celebrities listen to him.
1 [deleted] 2013-12-03
I predict a multi-camera sitcom along the lines of Lucky Louie, and some kind of animation pilot.

I don't find it to be subversive, just really funny. Very honest sitcom.
1 multiplesifl 2013-12-03
I thought this was a joke at first.
