"The boat thing"

I'm heartbroken that we're not getting "the boat thing". Fuck SiriusXM.

I wanna see the boat thing.

Sirius/XM couldn't organize a one car funeral procession ......

The exception being anything to do with Howard Stern. He's essentially the entire company.

O&A are like Bill from office space getting relocated to the storage closet where no one gives a fuck about. They may have even used that reference on the show but I thought its quite pertinent.

If I were them though I'd suck it up and do my job. It seems a bit strange to complain when they are each getting paid over a million dollars a year.

I have thought for a while that the company wanted them to leave on their own terms. I figure the company is thinking the fans of the show will subscribe and they don't need to do anything for the show to make them more profitable.

Honestly from the company's perspective, they are thinking that this is a show that gets fired from every job for creating major controversy and the company just doesn't want to take the risk.

I think the boys would be best served staying with the company because I don't see how they will manage to get guests they want like Hugh Jackman (who was great on the show) without the Sirius/XM brand behind the show. You gotta be a vet in the game like a WTF or nerdist to get A-listers on a podcast.

This. I've got some connections in the podcasting field and while I've been trying to get ahold of ANY of the boys to try to get them educated on how things work so they don't walk out of radio thinking it'll be the same only online, but it's pretty impossible to contact the crew outside of on-topic call-ins or one-off twitter responses. There's just too much coming at them for a name as small as mine to be seen. Still, I'd follow them if they started podcasting. O&A are basically the only thing a lot of us listen to on SXM save for a couple of music stations. While in a perfect world I could get them all lined-up, I don't expect it to happen. Either way, I'll enjoy the show as long as it runs. We've all got a slew of good memories from our time.

Uh, no offense to you and your "connections", but pretty much every one of the "friends of the show" has a podcast. I think that's "connection" enough.

Sam may be the best person to contact about a potential podcast

Opie's got too much pride to do solely a podcast. He wants to have his radio legacy. They're very aware of the benefits that come with having a channel
