Let's take a survey. How much would you be willing to pay per month to watch a daily audio/video podcast of the boys?

If the quality was good and the shows were archived, I think I would pay $15/month easy.

I know this probably wouldn't happen, but I'm just curious what you guys would be wiling to pay for something like that.

Zilch. I'd pirate it though, the way Ant pirates his movies.

Uh, I don't know, like 23 million a month...

You see, I would think it would be less than that.

Perhaps less than that Jim

Double that, and we have a deal.

I'd find a way to steal it for free.

5-10/month

10-15 if it's similar to the length of the shows now. Not sure if I would pay 10 for a weekly video cast

it depends on how much content they are willing to put out, and how they put it out. is this a daily podcast monday-friday like carolla, do they do it like rogan 2-3 times a week, or is it a weekly podcast? do they have a video element or just audio? how long is the podcast, etc, etc... but i'd be willing to put up between $5-$15 depending on what the offer. if they offer a video element, a 3 hour show, some other perks id definitely put up 15 bucks a month. roughly 60 hours of entertainment a month for 15 bucks aint shit. most of us pay for that to go see a movie. not only that but podcasts, and radio are my main source of entertainment anyway. i dont give two shits about tv so im willing to spend a little more.

I currently pirate the show but if they went to a podcast I would pay $5-$10/month.

Same. The only reason I don't support them is because Sirius is shit.

$10/month. It's practically all I pay to Sirius now, and they'd get the whole load.

I'd pay $15 a month for a 3hr daily show, especially if it had a 'visual element'.

5-10

15 Dollars certainly. Even if it would be live video streaming and audio archives only. They can forgo the video element as well if they want.

$10 a month seems fair. But I believe Opie said he had no interest in starting over again - this was more than a year ago. They pretty much had to start with about 10,000 listeners when they moved to XM, according to Opie.

5-10 a month for a while, then after I felt I gave them enough I would pirate. I'd prefer them to do a show and do it like humble bundle does for video games. Have people pay what they think it's worth with a minimum "donation", they could do it on a month to month basis via password or something. I'm sure that model would work out well for them. If they went that route I'd kick 'em 100 or 2 just because I think that's a kick ass business model worth supporting.

I pay $70/yr for Audible. I wouldn't pay much more for video since 95% of my listening is on the road or at work, but I would like to have it available should I want to look up something specific.

I hate the idea of another $10/month (on top of Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc)... but that seems to be the right price point.

How's that Audible thing work? Do you subscribe to just O&A for $70, or does that give you more?

That's just for O&A delivered that afternoon if you're lucky but almost always by next morning at least.

Audible has a monthly subscription program that gives you a book a month, but I don't believe you can use that for O&A.

Seems like an odd partner to me. Sirius could offer a pay podcast or their own app themselves.

It depends on what theyre offering.. I would probably pay $100 the first year just out of support/curiosity. After that, its up to the boys to do quality radio, which Im sure they would. BTW, does anyone know if they could do a totally uncensored show on a podcast or would they still have to abide by FCC regulations?

I don't see why they couldn't do an uncensored show? I mean the only thing they would need to worry about was losing sponsors.

How many shows? 5 a week? $10-15

While I understand what you are saying, I'm not sure they could really charge that much for content, as everyone else doing podcasts (even the huge names) gives them away for free, and only make money on advertising and live shows, etc. I wouldn't be above contributing in some way - but literally everyone has a free show, so that business model isn't in play right now, or proven to work. They would have to not only pull off an amazing show with real content, but revolutionize the model as it stands. I do love the show, but I don't feel Op and Ant are THAT committed to the round the clock work that (for example) Kevin Smith and Adam Carolla do, i.e., touring the country doing live shows.

What would be a genius move, is to start from the get-go with a NETWORK, and have everyone they know have shows on there as well, Bill Burr, Bobby, Jay Mohr, Dr. Steve, etc. That would be a big get for advertisers to have commercials across all the shows. This would benefit everyone involved, and give the fanbase a centralized place for unlimited content. I just get the feeling that they are really late to the podcast game and may not be as interested in it as they say they are, once they delve into what it actually takes to be successful doing it yourself. Sirius promotes them at what I consider basically a zero level, but getting it done DIY style would take some major work, planning, and management.

I'm not saying it can't happen, but it needs to happen sooner, rather than re-signing over and over to somewhere they really don't seem to like.

This is a great idea. Though complex. Problem is tv show for a radio platform doesn't really add up

A podcast network. Not a tv network.

Between $5-10. If I could pay lesser just to get the replays since I can't listen live, that would be sweet.

Ideally $5-$10/month but I'd be willing to pay $15-$20 for archives and other bonus content.
