If you want to piss people off, any time you hear them say "Vegemite" repeat it back to them but pronounce it like "Yosemite."

I mean, it is a pretty ubiquitous term in the film industry. It's what the actual name for it is, so I don't think it's too big an offense. If he called it "crafty" (people actually call it this) then yeah, I'd agree.
