I fuckin love Denny. Could you imagine going into that studio and facing Ant, Opie and Jimmy (fuck Sam), getting roasted live on air, having your very personality dissected for the audience, yet still holding your own, sticking it through and coming out the other side without buckling over and crawling out. Hats off to Denny!
I really don't understand why this is such a big deal. I mean it is rude, but they treated it like he said stuff a hanger in your twat. It was insensitive. And at this point I refuse to just believe it's a bit on their behalf. They actually are becoming a little sensitive when it comes to people they know.
It's a little of both. Isn't that what he said was HORRIBLE, because it was just marginally rude. The point is that he didn't seem to comprehend why what he said was inappropriate.
An equivalent statement would be like talking about people getting hit by cars to someone whose mother was just killed by a car. Or talking about people dying in wars to someone whose son just got sent off to war. It's fucking common sense not to be a piece of shit about stuff like that.
It's one thing to joke about it, but he honestly seemed to have no idea.
Most things they rag on people for are exaggerated. Sal's whole reputation on the show, even if he may be a tool, is based on exaggerating little fuck ups he has (and Opie taking the opportunity to complain about the youth of today) to the point where he's become a total joke. Same w/ ERock.

Because torturing poor Denny is always worth it.

None of them actually care, Denny was just the guy to go in the barrel today. Ant even said towards the end, "meh, we made a decent break out of it".

It is still a pretty bad thing to say; you'd have to be an idiot or on the spectrum to mention it to a pregnant woman.
