Like mid-teens I thought war of the roses style radio was real. 'Danny Dumps' was the big one in the UK, finding out it was bullshit was like finding Santa was my drunk dad trying to put a BMX together on christmas eve.
my dad would open my toys 6 weeks before christmas and play with them, and his present was always better than Santas. He refused for some other asshole to take credit for his money.
