This week the boys have had in zeros like Pete Holmes , Vanilla Ice Russell Peters and Michelle Beadle.Has there ever been a week where the boys have packed in such a bunch of rats? I'm pretty sure they have goofed on all these rodents in the past,what's going on?And these guys think they can get Paul McCartney?!?

The big mistake you have made here is somehow to confuse rich/popular with funny, as if they were synonyms.
If you cynically knock all the edge, insight and comedic wit out of a routine till it is eventually obvious, hackneyed and bland enough to be palatable to an arena ticket buying lowest common denominator, yeah you'll probably make some money. That's not the same as funny, it is pretty much the opposite.
Patrice O'Neal was broke and largely unheard of, neither of those two facts mean he was unfunny.

I'm not agreeing with OP, but money/popularity doesn't make someone funny. Big Bang Theory gets ridiculous ratings but I still think it stinks.
