Doesn't Opie constantly bitch about the haters on twitter and how people tweet him negative shit, but look at him, he's doing exactly the same shit he has been bitching about for years.
My brain almost melted when Opie and them were making fun of the big girl on the Chris Cuomo show and no more than like 5 minutes later they where on the Julie Chan portion and talking about how if people want to be honest they should hire fat reporters.
Looking for logic or well thought out arguments on the show will ruin you as a person.
That fat woman on that shit show was awful, and if I remember correctly she was caught stealing cookies from the supermarket not long after.
They also gave that reporting a good handling, and pointed out that the person who wrote her the "mean letter" had decent points and didn't go out of their way to insult her.
This sub-reddit has made me realize the guys I love listening to are hypocritical hacks and are just as bad as the people they bitch about. But I still listen and like the show. A conundrum.

I want fat pigs on TV, and I want to feel as bigoted toward them on the news just as I am in life. It's not a stretch—just because my hate is real doesn't mean the under-representation is correct.
You're not wrong, but the difference as I see it (and keep in mind I'm absolutely a hypocrite bordering on being a trainable) is that these three lovable scamps (and their special olympics-grade staff, all of whom I enjoy too) are very open about their total lack of show prep, essentially making us an audience to a few guys just watching TV/reading the news and shooting the shit about it as it goes from their brains to their mouths with little to no filter. Spend 3-4 hours a night doing the same with your friends and you will contradict yourself with alarming regularity. Sometimes going on a poorly or non thought out rant is just fun.
The media types (or their staffs) they bash for it on the other hand, have prepped and rehearsed the fuck out of the stories they present willfully ignoring the hypocrisy of what they're saying/writing.
That's a very simplistic way of putting it (again, at least half retarded here) and you're point is valid but I see the difference. Not to mention that Lil Jimmy Norton is a sweet boy who looks adorable in a sweater. I'm just riffin.
