Does Jimmy know that souffle was made with grand marnier?!?!?

4  2013-09-18 by dawgthevaghunter

I was listening on the app and it stopped like it always did and restarted at a part I heard prior and the french dude was explaining what was in the souffle and indicated it had what sounds like grand marnier as an ingredient and then Hugh tried a piece and Jimmy tried it. After it Jimmy mentions how he saw Hugh have it and does the bit on how he sees someone in shape eat something and thinks he can eat something.

Did I hear it right? Does that affect Jimmy with his sobriety?

Did you know that the title of your post rhymes??! That's what I'm excited about.

I did no know it that I was a poet

Jimmy avoids it for the most part, but he's admitted that he doesn't need to "be a martyr." For example, one time he was talking about a dental procedure, and one of the boys asked him if he went without painkillers during the operation and after. Jimmy said no, but he takes just the required amount and throws the rest away.

Alcohol evaporates when you cook it, he's fine.

Ok I just remember when Guy Fieri was in jimmy made a point to talk about it and didn't eat anything that had been cooked with alcohol.

Not all of the alcohol evaporates.

Yeah I'm not going to pretend to know anything about souffle, but in general the actual alcohol evaporates while cooking. It's not like you can get drunk off of pasta with vodka sauce.

Not with that attitude.

I know addiction can be a life long struggle and I'm not minimizing that. Good on Jim for being able to remain sober. However, he quit substances when he was 18 or 19 wasn't it? I know at 19 I was into some pretty outlandish drinking and drugging.

He's mentioned on the show that he knew he had to quit or he was headed for disaster...but couldn't most of us say that if we continued the lifestyle of our late teens, early 20's that it would be trouble?

I thought they were eating cronuts. I doubt there was much alcohol in it. Grand marnier is low in alcohol content and not much is used.

They were but then they tried that soufflé after.
