That Jim Norton's Chip is a twisted take on Greg Hughes' "Opie." Ever thought about that? I honestly think one show in the last year Jim and Anthony talk about Chip ruining the last show by interrupting bits with is lame jokes which put a halt to the show (which was a Friday show I believe) in a way where if you listen to that last show you could swear they were talking about Opie and not Chip...

Just listened to Jimmy on Kevin Smith's podcast. He pretty much credits two people for his career. Andrew Dice Clay, and Opie. I doubt he would create a character that's meant to actually insult someone that propelled his career to the next level. He also talked about how Opie went to battle for Jimmy and got him paid to be on the show. He knows he owes Opie a lot.
