What happened with Roland/Metallica?

Twice today I heard the second half of this segment on the Worst of the Week.
Would someone mind giving me the back story?

Roland had an off-air conversation about Metallica playing at the Apollo, and told them it was a secret. It was announced and all over the news, so they played it off like they were breaking the news too early just to fuck with him.
Great payoff in the booth BTW.

Ahh, that makes a lot more sense! Thank you!

to elaborate a little more, it was a secret for about a week but that morning(or late the night before) it was announced, but they realized he hadn't heard the news yet so kept it going. It was actually one of my favorite show moments of late.

Roland told the boys about Metallica playing at the Apollo off mic. Boys relay that information on the show before it was officially announced.

It seems like it was a prank though? It ends with Erock turning on the Mic's in the booth, where Roland eventually says "those fuckers, goddamnit, they got me!", prompting huge laughs from the boys, and the segment ends.
Did they let him think it wasn't supposed to be released when it already had been or something?

Yes. It was released hours before O&A aired, Roland didn't know.
