I think this is Jimmy's most mature special. He is really growing as a comedian and not relying on Schtick so much (like, oooh isn't it crazy I love transexuals) cuz I feel like once u know someones schtick it is not funny anymore and we all got his schtick by the last special. I bet his next special is gonna be AMAZING.
I think it helped that he felt really comfy in a rabid Boston crowd, in an intimate theater. Had a blast at the showing, can't wait to see the finished product tonight.
watched it last night after a few beers so it got a little fuzzy and im gonna watch it again today. i just remember his casey anthony opener was one of the best openings ever
Did they edit out the Chip material? at the taping he went into some chip stuff quick, then went "for the 50% of the audience who is wondering why the show just went to shit, that's a character from the radio show" lol
Funny stuff but almost everything has been discussed on the show. I guess as a listener you kind of know and hear these things nearly every day. I still enjoyed it thoroughly as its a much more polished version of that but it didn't bust my guts like when I first heard it.
I thought it was good. Only thing that disappointed me was that I heard about 90% of this material when he came to my city back at the end of April, but that's not his fault.
