Facing a lot of backlash from his near firing Troy turned to a love gone South. After confessing to his girlfriend that the reason he had become so frustrated on air was because in fact he was frustrated with his own sexuality she was immediately put off. In an effort to kill (ouch) two birds with one stone, keep his secret from the public and gain the publics sympathy returning to the show, Troy planned her death.
