I'm kind of surprised that the opinions are so one sided in here. I like Opie, but this one is kind of hard to defend. He acted like a dick and threw some money at the guy thinking that would make it right.

I'm sure Andrew would prefer the money over that shitty cake, but it's Opie's rich white guy sense of entitlement that has people all riled up. Giving a homeless guy money does not give you the right to humiliate him like that. Also, Opie's lack of remorse, or understanding of why people might be upset about the incident, really just makes him look like an ass.
