Having actually gone to a couple Blizzcons I disagree.
Jay is what made these amazing with his typical accepting yet making fun of the situation style.
Yeah, a bunch of WoW nerds came together, and instead of acting really weird he embraced it and took the check home.

Jay also did the AIAS awards(the Oscars for video games) for a few years as well. Poor guy was doing some great comedy bits to a bunch of nerds that didn't get the jokes
