joking about bad radio is one thing joking about the guy dying is another. sometimes people don't get the humor of the show. now i see what kind of idiots opie & ant are talking about when they do twitter voice.
They jocktobered that fox tv show gossip nation or whatever it is and he's one of the radio shows on it, he really didnt get any flack. I remember Opie saying they had the same manager or something. He said he was a solid dude on twitter a few hours ago.
I remember hatin his show because it got syndicated to houston and lufkin and every show was basically his kidds kids charities and just annoying radio bits. It really wasnt that bad but it's hard to listen to after O&A. Sucks he died, he had a lot of fans.
I grew up in TX, he was THE morning show there. His show was exactly like what O&A criticize but it was the first radio show I ever followed the story line with which led me to eventually finding better radio. Kidd Kraddick was my gateway drug for radio.
Had a chance to meet him when I was working for a radio station, he had just added our market for AM drive and came to do a promotional visit. I wasn't a fan of his show since it wasn't my preferred style at all, but he was a genuinely nice guy from everything I experienced. Sucks to see someone die that young though, and at his own charity event on top of it.

I listened to a lot of KEGL in the 80's. I'm an old school radio fan and I appreciate a good jock, which he was.
