Joe can't be insulted these days.No matter how bad the bashing gets he hangs in there. Derosa had a little back and forth with Erock on Friday, and no matter how much Erock tried to get to him with insults Derosa took it and laughed.Erock ended up looking like the dick.

But that's not the nature of the show. It's supposed to be back and forth. DeRosa never fires back because he isn't as quick as the rest of the guys they have on. He's not even fun to listen to. Its boring after a while hearing a guy get bashed by everyone, then just sit there and take it. As much as Troy annoys me, he fucking nailed it on the Friday pre-show. Joe just brings up the tranny stuff because it makes him the center of attention and it's the only thing that makes him somewhat interesting.

I saw Joe open for Patton Oswalt last year and it was hilarious, that might taint how much I like him on the show but it is what it is. The bad tattoo while retarded on his part, has provided some great entertainment.

He's ok in my book. When he sits in with the show in the studio, it doesn't make the show any worse or anything, but he doesn't bring the show to another level of hilarity like some of their friends such as Louis, Colin or Jay Mohr.

I agree to a certain extent but I think Joe was fine during the Montreal shows. He's not as funny as some of the other regulars and leagues below Norton but I still enjoy listening to that shouldlerless zilch on the radio. If he comes to Los Angeles I'll pay to see him.

I think if you were to ask anyone who doesn't listen to the show who Joe Derosa is, they'd have no idea whereas people know who the other friends of the show are (Burr, Kelly, Quinn etc). I don't mind him, but he's a pretty mediocre comic at best (in my opinion).

As I think about this more, I can't help but wonder if the similarities aren't just due to them being friends and spending time together and just kind of rubbing off on each other. Either way I don't believe he intentionally tries to copy Jimmy however subconsciously it may happen.

I think it's more of a problem of him just not fitting into the show's dynamic. The Uninformed Saturday Night Virus shows from a few years back with Billy Burr were hilarious, and Joe came off much better in them. He has gotten stuck in a rut on O&A where he is just shit on nonstop, and that in turn seems to have drained his confidence and sucked the comedy out of him. Even when there's a Vos attack session, between the trashings Opie is usually reminding the listeners how funny Vos is on stage. Joe doesn't even get that (that may be because he's not a funny stand up; I don't know because I've never seen him).

Doesn't seem to matter on here though. He gets all sorts of love and people defending him and a down vote brigade following even though he fucking sucks and is a whiney hack.

It totally blows my mind to be honest. I'm the first to admit my sense of humor is unique but how anyone thinks he is funny is beyond my understanding.
