Let's be honest. Opie has the least interesting life on the show. I don't even know how much of his stories to believe. As different as the show is from usual radio, Opie is very much a regular radio guy. He wants to make "good radio". Probably at the expense of truth and sincerity. When he talks about his kid, it's even less interesting. I feel like it's a bit when he talks about it. OP is right.
