Which comedians would you like to see become "friends of the show?"

Bob Costas and Norm MacDonald have both been on a couple of times each, but not as regular as I would like. Norm especially is hilarious; I could listen to him read the phone book in that slow burn wiseass voice and still be entertained.
Also, Gilbert Gottfried would be an epic guest on O&A. He has that dark sense of humor and contagious laugh that would be magical if he were riffing with Jim and Ant. Say what you will about Howard, but some of his best shows were when Gilbert was in studio doing a bit or commenting on the show. Unfortunately, I think he may be too loyal to Howard to try O&A. A real shame.

would loveeee to see more norm, but he's too much of a shut in, im just glad he's in the public eye again doing a podcast, which is amazing anyways.
but ari shaffir is probably the next best comic coming up to be on the show, and more derosa is always good, lets just hope these comics kids end up being 2nd generation of OnA comics, imagine little bawby or little Florentine making cunt jokes

jesse joyce was great on the show. hope he becomes a regular. also I wanna hear jeselnik at least once, and I think kumail nanjiani would be funny on the show too. plus adam carolla is perfect for O&A. it's weird they never had him as far as I know...

Opie got all pissy and psychotic over a misunderstanding between him and Carolla. Jim went on Adam's podcast and cleared it up, though.

yeah I heard about it. but it didn't sound like an enough reason to not invite him.. I'll have to check that episode with Norton. sounds like a good one.

Yeah, Gilbert would have been hilarious but he has that loyalty to Howard. Sounds like they still pay him respect though
Best guy I'd love to hear more often is Keith Robinson. Really impressed me with his phone call the other day.

apparently he can't get his lazy ass out of bed before noon. hahaha

I really want to hear Carolla on their show. He is coming into New York in a few weeks, and it would be great to have him on the show. I think they would be a great fit.

I wouldn't mind him occasionally, but I think he's too much of a force to come in regularly. He kind of dominates the room. He's funny, but I think hosting his own show is a good fit for him.

I have a fantasy about Brian Regan coming on the show regularly and beginning a downward spiral by getting sucked into all the evil shit they do. That guy is absolutely hilarious - you know he has a dark side.

Sean Rouse should come back but I don't think Ope or Jim want that awkwardness. Would love to see Stanhope, Andrist, or those other "unbookable" guys on. Would be great to have Attell on more often. I wish Col would do weekly appearances to promote his show now that it's running. I'd be interested in hearing Tosh on but I hear he's kind of an anti-social guy in real life? Lewis Black will probably never be back on but he'd be great, destroying Ant and Jim in political stuff. If Keith Robinson wasn't so fucking lazy he'd be a great black voice on the show. I'd be interested in hearin Jeselnik, but I'm guessing he's nowhere as clever on the spot as his writing. Artie would be cool to have on, but the drama would explode.

What happened with Lewis Black?

A few weeks ago, Keith Robinson called into the show and had a good discussion with Ant regarding the Trayvon Martin trial. He really is pretty damn funny.
I really hope he can contribute more to the program, he can be a valuable in-studio guest.

do you remember what date it was? I regret missing it and I keep hearing it was a great call..

It was a few weeks ago, can't remember the exact day. If you know the archived links with show writeup site you can probably find it there

you're right, it wasn't hard to find. it was on the 12th.

Tosh is an LA guy. And I don't think he does any press. He just promotes his stuff on his tv show. I've heard people on podcasts say he get offers weekly to do various podcasts but always turns them down.

Robin Williams and Jim could go at it for hours. They both have a lot of characters and they have really good improvisational skills, especially Robin. However, O&A made a mention that they don't care for Robin Williams.
